Contact Types

Contacts in the platform are classified by type. The type determines what additional data fields are available and how the contact is used across the system.

Core Contact Types

Type	Description
Customer	A purchaser or buyer. Includes additional fields for employment, education, marital status, language, income, and FINTRAC compliance data.
Lawyer	A solicitor or legal representative associated with a deal. Uses the base contact fields only.
Realtor	A real estate agent. Includes additional fields for registration information and PREC (Personal Real Estate Corporation) status.
Staff	An internal staff member. Includes additional fields for user role, assigned divisions, communities, and display color.
Other	A general-purpose contact that doesn't fit the other categories. Uses the base contact fields only.

Lawyer Types

Type	Description
Buyer's Lawyer	Represents the purchaser in the transaction.
Seller's Lawyer	Represents the developer or seller in the transaction.

Realtor Types

Type	Description
Buyer's Realtor	The real estate agent representing the purchaser.
Seller's Realtor	The real estate agent representing the developer or seller.
